On the copper tank in the airing cupboard is a Satchwell dial that goes from 40 to 90 (i have it set on 40 ) the cable that goes from it to the wiring box is a grey flat type 10mmx 5mm it has been there since the house was built but in order to tidy it away i need a longer cable could you tell...

i only deed the top of the valve i do not wont to start undoing connections that are hard to get at ,it is in the corner with no room to move .

please note the parts are plastic not brass . it is called a side inlet fill valve .

Have cleaned refitted diaphragm still drips one drip per 8 secs. is there any other part of the valve area that can leak ?

When i flush the cistern it fills up and then it drips very slowly if the cistern is not flushed it would come out the overflow (this would take days )i have fitted a new diaphragm but still drips . thanks for any ideas

went to suppliers gave him the info you gave and i now have a IMO HY41PN230AC 5amp 250vac .5amp30vdc . it is 230ac not 240 ac has he given me the wrong one should it be HY41PN240AC ? it was £8 +
