    Yes there used to be a bulb there, I think my ex must have taken the bulb out and not replaced it. There was a cover but not sure where that disappeared too. As they seem to be a standard screw fit, I will go and get one, thanks ever so much to you all for your help on such a trivial matter.

    When I say the bulb has gone, I mean it has literally gone, not there. I managed to get a torch and look at the connection, looks like a screw fit. Would I need to know the model of the fridge/freezer or are the bulbs standard fit?

    Thanks John. I will go up into the loft and have a look, but I cant say that ive even noticed a tank up there on my previous visits!!! I think I will try again tomorrow to get this thing off my wall.

    Oh, forgot to say ------ my ball valve is actually in the grey tank in the airing cupboard in the bedroom, as had a plumber here before as my tank sounds like its dripping water constantly and he said the valve needed replacing-----------needless to say it still sounds like its dripping------so...

    ha ha. You said the drain valve would be on the lowest point of the system. Do you mean on one of the downstairs rads or on the lowest point of my grey boiler or on the tank in loft?

    Ha ha. I know what the blisters feel like, as I dug out my front garden on my own and made a driveway. What should I use to compact it down and get the firmness back??? Once its levelled of course, garden roller, wacker plate??
