    We had a bad roof (well chimney pointing) leak which stained a lime plastered wall in our old farm cottage. We don't want to put anything oil based on it but emulsion's not doing anything to cover it up. Any ideas other than replastering?!

    We've just had a new kitchen fitted with iroco hardwood work surfaces. We left it a bit late to put the first three coats of Danish oil on before the surface was fitted and I guess the oil wasn't quite dry because there's dust stuck to most of it. I thought we could just wire wool/ fine...
