Novice...Ikea Atlant waste kit & washing machine drain h

That's right...the hose from the washing machine is slipped over the Atlant kit, and secured with a jubilee clip. I wondered if the hose from the machine should be fitted "inside" the Atlant kit somehow...

300mm Howdens Pull-out and swing larder problems

Hi, I am having my kitchen refitted and it is nearing completion. However, I constantly have issues with my 2 pull-out and swing larder units. They are the ones that pull and swivel 90 degrees but they never seem to fit right. They 'clunk' when you swivel them and when you pull them out...

    New Conservatory / Electrics

Thanks for the replies so far! Yes - I informed the insurer that I was going to have one built, and I've informed them again now that it's built! I may be mistaken re. the fuse spurs etc. I'll run through it with the builder tomorrow, and I'll post back! (Panel heater is 1Kw btw)

    New Conservatory / Electrics

Hi there I've just had a new conservatory built. The builders have taken a spur from a downstairs socket to power the electrics in there. There are fuse spurs for the fan and the panel heater. I've asked whether a certificate should be issued for this work, and I've been told that one...

    Bi-Fold Doors - Help please!

Hi, I have fitted 2 bi-fold doors between my lounge dining room even though the instructions are pretty poor. I am a little confused as to how this closes shut properly though as any instruction to the spring closer unit is worn off. Where does it go exactly and how would this work...

Are the costs quoted for landscaping a little high?

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. The stone circle is going to be 3m diameter. I'm not sure where they get the turf from, however, I am sure it can't be worse than what the builder laid on the front lawn!!

Are the costs quoted for landscaping a little high?

Hi, We are having our garden landscaped and it is currently just a soil base (albeit subsoil) as it is a new build property. We have received one quote but the costs listed appear a little high and would appreciated some experts advice as to whether the costs given are reasonsable. The...

    Garden Drainage

Hi, I logged a previous post about my waterlogged garden. I have now been contacted by the builder who are willing to rectify the drainage issue. However, they have suggested an Aco drain around the patio. My question is, is this sufficient? My common sense tells me that it is not...

    Waterlogged Garden - Please help!

Thanks for the prompt reply! I am not entirely sure if the base is concrete, it sure seems solid when digging down though!! I have just called the NHBC to see if the builder is responsible or not and they said that a garden should not become waterlogged and usually the drains are the...
