    Gledhill Thermal Store catching fire

Update, Gledhill have come round all the units and replaced (according to my mum) a relay 1inch by 3inch black box. They are not stating this was the cause of the fire but its strange that they have replaced this component in every house on the row.

BoilerMate OV A Class should you leave on constant.

Not getting much joy getting this sorted. But FYI the boiler is firing every 2.5 minutes for 30 seconds and the hot water is very hot. I cannot believe this is correct. With no heating at the end of Oct the house is now 23.9 degrees. I know we have global warming but ....

BoilerMate OV A Class should you leave on constant.

There is no heating on its only the water that is on constant. Its the latent heat from the boiler (In Kitchen) and the store in the airing cupboard that are heating the house. As an example the lounge is 22.9 and the bedroom 21.9 with no radiators working at this rate there is no requirement...

We have just purchased a new house with a boiler in the kitchen and a BoilerMate OV A Class ABA 4200 in the airing cupboard. The developer said to leave the boiler set to max and the hot water on constant. The house is like a oven! Should I be looking at turning the temperature down at the...

Ideal Mexico 2 boiler pilot OK main burners not working

I only switched the power off to the controller that sends the power to the boiler and water pump. I think maybe the gas valve is not opening. So I am going to look tomorrow at whether I am getting voltage to the solenoid. Regards Chris.

Ideal Mexico 2 boiler pilot OK main burners not working

Boiler was working fine. Switched power off at wall probably while it was running. Heating or water now not working when repowered. 1) The pilot light is lit and working 2) When I switch on the central heating the water pump runs. 3) Checked thermostat is up to max. So basically the...

    Bathroom electrics

From the extractors that I have seen even the Humidity controlled ones are still wired up as well to the light switch so they come on and off when you switch the light on, they will then overrun as well. If you want to use the existing supply you will probably need to change the fuse as a...

Pressure at 3bar and now suddenly nothing at all

This happened to me and was very easy to fix. The operating over three bar was because the pressure vessel diaphram had broken. I ound this out by trying to take the pressure using a car tyre pressure gauge water came out. This was replaced by myself for £35. The PSV value that blew cost £6.50...
