    the no more ply is miles better than ply just dont get the glue on your hands. use the same trowel on all walls. i personally would use 8mm notched trowel. apply adhesive to walls instead of backs of tiles. the benfer tanking gear is quality as well

    i use 2mm on nearly all wall tiles. looks better in my opinion as you dont see too much grout

    the mapei gear is spot on to use and great quality. the grouts are even better but a bit awkward to use at first

    ultra slc will go up to 50mm in one go. check out the instarmac website for full spec. i would get the floor as level as possible before laying any covering.

    9 out of 10 jobs i do are in brick pattern. everyone is having it like that but i think in a couple of years it will look dated. i personally like them laid landscape with opus pattern on the floor. thats 4 different sizes of tiles in a set pattern

    would be done in 2 days max. shouldnt take too long to get emulsion off and old tiles and patch up. then tile away

    i seal all polished porcelain with lithofin gear. make sure you seal b+q porcelain or you will have problems with staining.

    On a powdered milk processing plant in the middle of nigeria. Interesting 6 weeks of my life thats for sure. Best was a small place called newcastle west near limerick in ireland. really quiet little town until 11 oclock and the place went crazy

    ultra self leveller will also go up to 50mm in one pour and will give you a smooth finish. its reasonably priced as well. check out instarmac website for details.
