I think that both joints were made with stranded conductors for the experiment. That said, I have not been able to pull a solid joint apart by hand yet.

Yes BAS, plenty of time. As it is a new piece of kit to me, I was doing a few tests, then comparing the results with my old multifunction and back to the 325. The results were comparable but just seemed to start from a different base value each time I did the Zref bit.

Do any of you guys use the Megger 325 loop tester on a regular basis? Has anybody noticed any major difference in the ELI when obtaining the Zref (same reference point) for a second or third set of tests? I was using a new meter recently and found the Zref was not consistent. I...

Has anyone tried out the NICEIC "Free Trial" Certification Software yet? (Spring issue of connections mag) I have tried to run the trial on vista and cannot get beyond the set up stage.

Does anyone know where previous editions of the regs can be found? I started working with a local electrician when the 13th or 14th were the standard of the day and would be interested to read through some of the old regs.
