    Taking waste pipe through wall.

    I am taking a 1 1/2 pushfit waste pipe for a washing machine through a partition wall. Would an holesaw be must best option to get a nice clean hole or would you have another suggestion??.

    lol, slightly comflicting advice there. I was thinking of renewing the waste for the basin also, but as this runs behind the bath that would involve a lot of extra work. So will the 32mm be ok ?

    is there such a thing as a partially pumped system? Gravity circulation soley relies on the forces of gravity and convection currents to circulate water around the system, without the use of a pump and zone valves/cyl stat or room stat?

    Wiring in heating controls.

    When wiring in 2x2 port valves what does the term " switch live " mean?, can it be any colour cable but labeled up as a live?. any other info on wiring heating controls in terms of terminology most welcome.

    Help needed with electrical circuits.

    I have just started my level 3 plumbing course and we are now wiring in heating systems. What i would like is a basic electrical book i can purchase which is for the beginner , explains terms and gives examples of wiring situations. A really beginners book really. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Which way to wrap PTFE tape?

    Which way do you wrap PTFE tape around a thread. Is it the same direction that you screw the valve body into the rad , or is it the opposite way?. any help would be appreciated.
