Best Low Cost Tool For Cutting 145mm Skirting Boards

Thanks. Seems there is no low cost tool for this. I just spent £150 on a mitre saw and bench for it.

Best Low Cost Tool For Cutting 145mm Skirting Boards

I need to cut 145mm skirting board at a 45 degree angle. My mitre box and saw is too shallow for board of this height. I am looking to buy a cheaper mitre hand or power saw suitable for this job. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what could be suitable.

Levelling Threshold Area Before Laying Laminate

Is there a cheap way to grind it down without tool hire? I have an orbital and palm sander here. Could I use one of those with a certain grade paper?

Levelling Threshold Area Before Laying Laminate

I will be laying laminate flooring on the ground floor of my house, covering 2 bedrooms and a small hallway. The concrete subfloor has a raised profile where the doorway is between one of the bedrooms and the hallway. The floor rises by about a 1 cm+. It's a fairly small area to lower/fix. I...

MCB No Longer Tripping & No Power On Circuit

I think it was the 'isolate the board' part which finally put me off me attempting it. My neighbour has an electrician coming round tonight - turns out we have one further down our road. Will pop over there tomorrow to find out what had been causing the problem.

MCB No Longer Tripping & No Power On Circuit

The microwave was unplugged when I tried to get power on after I'd tightened the wire connections in the powersockets. Perhaps this was the source of the problem . If its just a case of pulling out a breaker to replace it I'll try another 32amp breaker. If that doesn't work or it trips out...

MCB No Longer Tripping & No Power On Circuit

oops.. I think the fusebox is a general electric one and the MCB has: Series E 6000/B32 230 / 400B Written on it. ------ Also is there a chance that a higher amp rated breaker is needed(given that there is a boiler and microwave on the circuit) and if thats the case can I just...

MCB No Longer Tripping & No Power On Circuit

Good people. An 'older' neighbour over the road called round today as she has lost power to the sockets downstairs in her house. This affects her central heating (although she has a fire she can use tonight). She lost power when she turned on her microwave and the breaker tripped on two...
