Zanussi wjd 1257 jumps from wash cycle to spin very quickly

Hi Michael I am afraid I haven't followed it through since then but did collect some comments from others in the forum, which I will paste below for your convenience, in case you haven't seen it already. Although there is an error code mentioned, I felt some of the symptoms discussed could...

    Gainsborough Electric Shower PRD passing

Installed a Gainsborough Stanza shower around December 2009. Now the PRD valve is passing and Gainsborough say that it is not covered by warranty as it could have been due to someone getting the hose kinked. It cannot be reset and will cost £12 everytime plus labour to replace it. Cannot...

Zanussi wjd 1257 jumps from wash cycle to spin very quickly

Hi Leccy758 Thank you for your prompt response. I have checked the coil security and seems to be pushed in solid. The spin speeds seem to change when I work through the program according to what speed is chosen. Does this confirm that the tacho is ok. The wash cycle seems to abort after a...

    Ideal Mini C24 Pump sticky

You were correct about dirty water which I had flushed out some two months ago and added Sentinel. Everything seems clean now. Therefore I will strip pump head and give it a clean as suggested. And yes there is a drain on the side so won't have to go the PRV route as warned. Thank you very...

    Ideal Mini C24 Pump sticky

The Wilo pump seems sticky when the boiler is powered off on timer and put back on again. It starts up when helped with a screw driver in the rotor slot. Runs fine as long as the timer is on constant. Can it be freed off in any way or is there just a replacement head available for this? Or is...

    JAGUAR 23KW COMBI BOILER

Open the bleed cap on the pump to release any air. See how it goes. If the problem still persists, check the CHW temperature setting against where the reading gets to when the boiler fires up. Drop this down to say 55 degrees and see if the boiler still trips out and report back. As an...

jaguar 23kw combi - temperature overshoots setpoint

Hope the enclosed link for the Protherm 80E helps. The control panel display layout is different but the rest appears to be very much identical. Might help until everyine gets back to work. http://www.protherm.cz/upload/1117176168.pdf If you are still struggling I will have to find a way...

jaguar 23kw combi - temperature overshoots setpoint

Tony it is heartening to hear that the Jaguar is more reliable than I had made it out to be. Thanks for the tip on diaphragm change every 4 years or so. The first time I had to do this spares insisted that I had to buy the whole brass valve assembly and throw the rest away. Numerous phone...

jaguar 23kw combi - temperature overshoots setpoint

Tony I certainly agree this is one of the worst boilers I have come across. Very unreliable - DHW diaphragm, Expansion vessel, leaking o-rings etc etc and it is under 5 years old. Not to mention the monopoly on parts sales and their costs. Thanks again. I will check through all sensors and...

jaguar 23kw combi - temperature overshoots setpoint

Tony Thanks for prompt response. Wondered if anyone had experienced the reason for having to turn the power off and on to make it fire up even though there were no error messages on the display?

jaguar 23kw combi - temperature overshoots setpoint

Pressure was shooting upto 3.5 bar solved by replacing expansion vessel with VAREM external 8 litre unit and pressure goes from 1.2 to 1.5 bar when hot. But now the CH temperature overshoots setpoint by over 10 degrees. Radiators seem to be getting hot fairly quickly. Then when burner cuts...
