I have a 1/2" BSP bush I want to connect to some 22mm pipework, but not sure on the right thing to get a good seal. I have a 22mm tee with a 1/2" pipe connection but the threads are parallel and the bush just goes all the way in, and doesnt bottom out either so not really an option for a washer (and the bottom of the 1/2" female isnt really wide enough to support a washer)
I was thinking a load a PTFE might be enough?
Alternatively, I have a 1/2" tap connector which has a rubber washer that would seal against the flat bottom of the bush, however the tap connector has a bit of pipe protruding past the washer and the hole in the bush is not wide enough to go over it. I could drill the hole out on the bottom side of the bush to 15mm to make it fit, but don't currently have a bit that size so need to either order a bit or better still a fitting that would work - is there anything??
