Hi

We have a small room that has no mains lighting in. If I was to put 2-4 12v downlights in, could I wire the transformer up to a mains plug (and still conform to Part-P???), or would it have to be hooked into the main lighting circuit?

Thanks

yes, that would be fine, just fit a 3amp fuse in the plug.

You could plug it in, so long as all of your connections are enclosed (chocbox etc). There is no mains lighting? At all?
