Hi, welcome advice on how to extend an existing 16 mm triple wall polycarbonate roof.

Can I just extend the existing supporting framework, lay the new sheets and 'butt join' them to the existing sheets? Are there 'typically' joining profiles available to enable me to do this?

Or, should I underlap them to the existing sheets to get a more reliable, waterproof joint?

Thnx, Alex

Apologies don't know the material brand ........

You can’t extend poly lengthways no matter how you try it.

Is it more than 6m overall then?

The existing roof is 3.5 metres, want to extend it another 3.5 meters.

Can you start it off with about a metre of flat roof and then start the 6m bars. Doesn’t look too bad from inside if you do it that way
