Good evening,

Wondering if anyone has had any experiences of the attached please? The house I am looking to buy has this redundant flue on bolted to the outside of it and I was wanting it removed. A family friend has said that this may contain asbestos as this was common in the 50s and as I am a70s child this is all new to me when someone mentions asbestos as alarm bells are now ringing. The house has had a replacement central heating system and has a combi boiler with an external flue on the rear wall in the bathroom. As this old flue comes out of the side wall from the kitchen I know it is now completely redundant.

Any pointers/ advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated

You haven't attached anything.

If it's asbestos, you should get a specialist contractor in to remove it safely
