Right can anyone help, I need to run an outside light along with a light under a kitchen unit.

Could I come off a fused switch to a 2 gang switch and power both?

If so how would I wire it so the 2 gang controls each one independently?

If you mean a Switched Fused Connection Unit, then yes. What is the FCU doing at the moment?

You connect a Live, Neutral and Earth to each light
with a switch interrupting each of the Lives.

A two gang switch is just two completely separate switches. People seem to think they are connected in some way.

The FCU is free at the mo, just a feed in from the ring.

From the FCU I was going to run the unit lights from the load side as it's above the kitchen unit out of the way and then run a switch down to the back door area.

Then from the other side of the switch I wanted to run the outside light?

So from the load side of the FCU to each side of the 2gang ?

This diagram (and others) are in the wonderful WIKI.

This is what you need to do. The supply is from the load side of your FCU (3amp fuse) and you do not have a supply to next light, so ignore that bit.

As you ssem to be unsure about this rather simple job, I suggest you have a good look at the lighting circuit diagrams in the WIKI
