Hello, I've got an oil fired boiler which is OK, but the pumps in the system are packing up. There are 2 very similar looking pumps connected in series. one says controller on it and the other just has some numbers. They are fairly old I would guess, so could I replace them with a single modern pump. Any ideas why 2 pumps? Only the radiator system is pumped, the immersion tank seems to heat up from convection current. When the system is set to " Hot water Only" the pumps don't work.
