2 rate meter

i have just moved to a new house and it has a 2 rate meter

however rate 1 is day
rate 2 night

this is how it charged on the bill that came through and they read it.

But it appears to be wrong as the flashing indicates which rate is currently being used and mine is using day and night wrong way round.

What is the chance of them ever picking this up?

my heating is oil so not got anything set to use night rate particualry

isn't night rate cheaper?

so you're not using the electricity overnight ( besides the occasional trip to the loo and the TV on standby.. )

and all the electricity you use during the day is getting charged at the night rate..?

if they ever pick it up and try to charge you the several hundred pounds then consult a lawyer and deny ever noticing it..
