25mm screed

Hi,

I intend to screed a floor, ready for tiling, using a 4:1 mix of sharp sand and cement.

Is this advisable or is this too thin a coating, which will then be susceptible to cracking etc?

I have been advised to maybe using chicken wire underneath or add 'BOND SBR'. Would anyone here recommend either of these 2 steps?

Could I use standard mortar plasticiser rather than the SBR stuff?
