Hi i need some help asap!!!
In my bathroom i had a 2 gang wall mounted switch. 1 controlling the main light and 1 contolling a mirror light.

I know this is dangerous in a bathroom so i want to change it to a pull cord.

Is there a way of having a pull switch so that when you pull it, both sets of lights comes on at the same time???

I need to know asap because i have a plasterer coming in the next few days.

Or if it helps is there a way so that you can pull it once so that the main light comes on, pull it twice and the mirror light comes on? Something like that?

Any ideas welcome.
Thanks

Depends on how its wiried. If the lights and the mirror are on the same feed you can do it with a standard pullswitch.

If they are separate feeds, or if you cant get your head around the switching concepts, you could use a double pole pull switch. Like this

Dont forget to buy the mounting box, if you get one of these!

Never seen a pull twice switch, there was a thread about this a while ago.

Easy enough for someone that knows what they are doing.

Presuming bathroom is upstairs and loft access above ceiling is available, how many cables go to the existing switch ? 1 twin 2 twins or 1 three core ?

use a double pole pullswitch , uses two sets of contacts both switched at same time.
