Hi there
Last year I had the footings of a porch built, but the project manager of the builders created so many problems. The whole thing was so poorly managed, and due to covid the wait for the doors and frames took months. When they came none of them fit as he got all the measurements wrong, so following complaints to the Director, he said he would remedy. A further 3 months from that point and no joy, and it was now 6 months on and I only had the brickwork and footings done, so threatened to take them to court. I got a full refund. Got some decent builders, and they built on the existing base that had been there since June last year. Work started 4 days ago, and I was chatting away to the builder about the previous ones, and permitted development, and he told me I was 500mm out of the 3m2 permitted development for a porch. I was not surprised but now I’m stressed. I’m thinking I should apply for retrospective planning permission? Is that right?
