Hello,

is it normal for a 6A MCB to trip everytime a lightbulb blows??

Could it be a faulty trip or a Fault on the wiring???

Cheers

It is perfectly normal for the failure of a "cheap" lamp to trip an MCB

They can also destroy the triac on dimmer switches

Fitting compact fluorescent lamps (aka energy saving) may help, tho not if you have dimmer switches.

The type B breaker can be replaced with type C if the Zs for that circuit is low enough. That should stop it nuisance tripping.

doesnt happen to me although when a powerful (around 100w) kitchen bulb blows the kitchen MCB and and the main RCD trip isolating the whole house.
this is because of the high inrush current imblance thus tripping the RCD. try lower wattage bulbs and good brands (osram, GE etc.)
