Accenta 8 Mini keypad constant beep

Hi all

I have the above alarm, and when go to set it the keypad continues to constantly beep after I put in my code and it wont set There are no lights lit up on the keypad, just the power light.

The other day the electric was off and the alarm went off and the keypad wasnt useable. I was told I need a new battery for the control box.

Would this cause the constant beep on the panel, or is that something else?

A faulty battery, that you acknowledge you have, can cause a number of different problems, I'd suggest the beeping is just one of the possibilities.
