accident with ink

Hi there

A little while ago I managed to spill a bottle of permanent ink all down my painted walls (matt paint). When it dried, I tried to paint over it, but it came though several coats of paint.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to resolve this? I'm getting a little tired of looking at a blue stain.

I have successfully used Milton Sterilizing fluid for this purpose

or a couple of coats of an oil based gloss to block it out first and stop it weeping through
