Hi everyone,

I have moved into a property and I want to improve my bath, but I am on a budget. The bath works fine, but I'd like to be able to have a stand up shower. The grout in the tiles has come away in places.

I'm not great at DIY (but I do try!) and my plan is this:

A) To repair the grout and then add either self-adhesive tiles above the existing tiles all the way up to the ceiling or to install those large plastic panels (splashbacks?) instead? I don't know if it would be easier to remove the existing tiles completely or repair the grout?
B) To get a longer shower hose and a shower rail slider and to install it on the back wall. I could then just move the existing shower head as and when required to the slider.
C) To install a shower curtain round the tub.

Does anyone have any better ideas or notice any flaws to my current plan?

Thank you!

Is this an electric shower, or do you have a combi boiler you were going to tap into for hot water?
