Hello,

I bought this house in August last year and adjusted the porch doors so they'd close without having to slam them - it seems the top of the doors are hitting eachother as they close... I can't for the life of me remember how I did it, and I can't really find any instructions on how to adjust these hinges.

It seems that the door on the left has dropped at the top, leaning to the right and in turn pulling the bottom corner out of alignment while creating a wedge between doors at the top corner.

Please see attached for pictures of the hinges, as well as photographs of the doors closed and open.

I'd appreciate any help possible, as I don't want to mess around and break anything!

Thanks in advance,
Adam.

Open the door and look at the gap between the frame and door sash , from the opening side , and you'll see a screw securing the hinge cover on, unscrew and remove cover , adjustment is made under the cover. It may be that the other door is actually at fault though .. also it could be that the glass isn't toe and heeled correctly ( toe and heeling makes the glass act as a brace)

Tip tip : before adjustment mark where the door sits within the frame With a pencil ... gives you a point to return to if all goes horribly wrong!

Thanks for the replies!

I've tried taking the covers off, but they won't budge. Unscrewed both screws and tried prying them off, but no movement whatsoever, unfortunately.

I do believe it's the left door on the basis if I lift it by the door handle it will close and go back into alignment, but sits too close to the right door otherwise.
I think it's the top left hinge and likely the middle hinge, too, given the weight bore on it. I'm no expert by any stretch and don't mean to convey any of this as fact, I'm just aware that pictures can be quite obscure and the less knowledgeable (like myself) can be very ambiguous in explanations!
