Managed to get hold of cheap whirlpool bath but i need some advice about plumbing it in. Salesperson said it is straightforward to do.
Basically, hot and cold go to 2 taps which then send hot and cold to a diverter. the diverter seems to have 2 inlets, 1 for cold, 1 for hot and 2 outlets, 1 that sends mixed hot and cold to the bath filler, the second diverts to a shower(fitted in the bath, so have to cut hole for it as well) which is fitted next to the diverter.
Is it as easy as running hep or speedfit 15mm pipe, connecting to flexible hoses which then connect to first set of taps. Again fit 2 more flexi's and then run in hep/speedfit over to the diverters 2 inlets. Change to flexis to connect to the 2 diverter inlets. Flexi diverter outlet to the bath filler.
The outlet to the shower atatchment is confusing me. The shower hose has a standard ? 1/2" fitting but on the diverter its much smaller. Anyone know what this size could be and how i would atatch the hose to it - adapter etc.
My heating is a pumped gravity fed system. Someone did mention that i would have to balance the hot and cold before it gets to the bath, so that the cold does not overpower the hot. How would i do this.
PHEW!!
Appreciate all replies.
