Brought an ex display AEG 68002KF from Wickes for £200 about 4 years ago. I was having a kitchen extension built at the time so thought it would come in useful at some point. It's been sitting in the loft since then but I've finally had it wired in today. As might have been predicted, it does not work properly. The right hand areas work fine, but the left hand areas just display an "E" and the timer display is stuck at 80 and does not respond to touch. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem. I suspect it is something to do with the second linked power input as there is no difference whether this is connected or not.

There should be a wiring diag on the back to show connections. As you suspect the 2 sides should be linked together. However the user guide shows an "E" ERROR as being an electronics fault. Give Service Force a ring( your local agent if possible ) they are usually pretty helpfull.
