hi all after some advice about air bricks and ventilation

live in a 1930s house thats quite high up. we live in a wind driven area so the air bricks are quite exposed. the front room at the front of the house is always quite droughty even though we have double glazing bricked up fireplace etc

the back of the house seems like concrete flooring and the air vents dont seem to do much (how do they work with concrete floor?)

i know the importance of air bricks but the ones at the front of the house are massive. most houses have small ones. i have 2 or 3 on the front

has anyone had the same issue without causing any damp

i have been looking at adjustable vent covers. what about a cover that still allows air flow but takes the direct wind away?
something like this

The cowls work well, the vents will go right under the concrete floor to the timber floors.

Thanks shame for big air bricks the cowls look awful

The bricks at the back seem to be full of crap I did try cleaning out
