Hi

I'm in the process of doing a house up and I need to remove a Veritas 8

alarm panel to remove tiles and possible move wires for re tiling.

Will I have to disconnect the outside box also ? as I don't want to disturb

the neighbors to much.

Also the old couple who had the house had a ramshackle conservatory and

the windows and door look to be part of the system although I'm not sure

as they are thick of paint, I want to dismantle the conservatory how do I

test if they are live for disconnection ( that's another question)

Instructions would be appreciated

Yes, you should disconnect the battery in the bell. It's probably best to do this first and the +12V to the bell at the same time. Then come down the ladder, open the panel (stop the tamper?) pull the mains and battery.

You may want to check the conservatory contacts before you power down. If you dig the contacts out, you can check the wires with a multimeter (5-12V, usually) or chop them and see if you get a tamper or if you can't set the alarm.
