I am wiring a ADE Reson8 bell box to a Paragon Plus panel and wish to check if my wiring is correct ?

TRIG- to B-
HOLD OFF- to BA
HOLD OFF+ to B+
RTN- to BT

thank you for any help

Doesn't sound right to me. BA means Bell activate. So that should go with 'trigger'.

'Bell -' should be the neg hold-off.

Reson8 installation instructions show

STB- to -Strobe or -ST
TRIG- to Bell-
HOLD OFF to Tamper supply-
HOLD OFF+ to Bell+
RTN- to Tamper return-

Like i said that is correct some of the older panels require you to swap the neg hold off and trigger around. Wire it as the instructions say

Wired Reson8 as instructions strobe and sounder work but no status indicators ie

No red led to indicate hold off supply is present

No Green led to show that the tamper is closed and healthy

No red led to show battery charge

When enabling Nicad battery with jumper instructions state sounder will output tamper alarm - this did not happen

Could I have a faulty unit?

Would appreciate any help available please

Have got 12volt at TRIG-

Just found some more information on Paragon Plus panels which reads

Bell box
STB- to STB-
TRIG- to BA
HOLD OFF- to B-
HOLD OFF+ to B+
RTN- to BT

Will try this tomorrow

I told you that at the top of the page!

Wired as 2nd diaagram but unable to conrol sounder when powered up had to remove all power surples to stop sounder
(Sorry joe-90 but thats the way the installation booklet read)
Any more ideas please?

If you've wired it as the second diagram and it doesn't work then you've got faulty gear.

Are you sure you haven't blown the bell fuse? Check that you have 12v going to the sounder. You need it for the SAB hold-off.
