Hi New to the site and can't believe the number of people willing to help out!
My problem happened today-a bit scary too!
I have a 10 year old Alpha 240 xp (that's about as techie as it's going to get - sorry) and I have been building up cash funds to have it serviced (central heating works but no hot water) TODAY the needle in the BAR pressure dial (?) went into the red area to about 3 and a half. I was downstairs and heard a 'different ' noise than normal coming from the boiler which is in the upstairs bedroom (only place for external wall for flue) Anything in the red zone seems to be potentially dangerous so I turned the gas off (at the boiler) and the fuse switch,
Is there anyone out there at the moment that could give me any ideas on what to do now - apart from ringing my Gas guy in the morning - Help please! Thank you
