Can anyone help?

We've got an Alpha CB28 combi boiler (about 4 years old).

The CH is working great but the hot water has become a bit erratic in the last week or so. We don't have the boiler on timer, so the heating clicks in when the stat drops below a certain temp.

The boiler doesn't seem to fire into life every time we switch on a hot tap. It has been known to hear the boiler fire up, then go off, then fire up straight away. Or, it works first time, and you wouldn't know there is a fault. Or it doesn't work at all and I have to reset the thing, and even then it can take a few attempts at running the tap to get hot water.

We did have a problem with the water pressure dropping, but we cured that by re-pressurising the system so the needle is now back in the green zone.

Wondered if anyone has any ideas?

Thanks

Check flow switch, clipped on pipe to left of DV & diaphragm. If this is ok then check diaphragm.
