I'm installling a new kitchen (in a ridiculously small & non square space) and have built & installed a small 600mm studwall across one of the corners against which the cooker/hood can be placed/mounted.
This stud wall doesn't go all the way from ceiling to floor but stops around 3 inches below the cooker hotplate level & is supported by a 2" x 2" piece of timber that's mounted on a couple of battens on either side wall.
Now, I want to insulate this supporting timber and was thinking the easiest way might well be to just use a heat resistant aluminium foil tape.
Anybody see any issues with this or can recommend anything more suitable?
Cheers,
Andy B
