Anyone use it and subscribe to a particular charity?
In case you don't know what it is. Amazon have a separate site, exactly like the main one, that makes a donation to the charity(ies), of your choosing. It doesn't cost you anything as it comes from their profits on whatever you buy. Name any charity you like and, after verifying they are a registered charity, you just order your stuff and they do the rest.
I've been supporting 'Starlight Childrens Foundation' for a number of years now and 'raised' quite a few hundred quid for them. Now, out of the blue, Amazon are closing the site down next month because they say not a lot of people are using it.
If they had made it an 'opt out' on their main site I'm sure a lot more people would have been aware of it and actually subscribed. Now hundreds of smaller charities are going to lose income which could have a devastating effect on their viability.
