Just had a 1 Way circuit installed with 6 x JC4018 20-60VA electronic dimmable transformers plus 6 x 50W LV Halogen Lamps.
The circuit is being dimmed with a 500W MK Intelligent Dimmer which buzzes badly. The transformers are also buzzing !
This was changed for a Varilight 400W Touch Dimmer which cured the problem.
I think that the problem might have been that the MK dimmer was a leading edge dimmer, while the Varilight was a trailing edge dimmer.
Now the problem - I would like to use a trailing edge dimmer in a 2 Way circuit, however the touch dimmers can not be used with a normal switch. I need to use the normal switch based on the existing wiring.
Can any one suggest such a dimmer ?
