Another loft insulation scenario...my loft this time..

Here's the left in my recently purchased 3 bed detatched house.

Having read more, it seems this isn't as insulated as I first thought. Here are pics and initial thoughts...

Pic 1:

The area to the left is over the living room with may downlights fitted. I would expect I would place downlight hoods over these (or make plasterboard boxes) to cover them, then insulate over the top

Based on the thickness of the loft board vs the ceiling, I cant imagine there being much insulation there

As per previous comment, this large area has very little insulation. Would you suggest spaceboards and loftboards above the current boards ?

I'm assuming I can lay an additional layer of space blanket over the current space blankets ?

Cut this up so I can insulate over this area

Very odd?

Detached??

You have a regular gable at one end (blocks laid normally) but a typical semi detached gable at the other i.e. blocks laid flat.

Curious, why is that?
