i assumed (after searching on google) that it was 'E' gasket. I take it, that if it cant easily be removed, then fitting new is a no no? im not bothered about tearing the old one, as it is mouldy and cracked as you can see. Im putting the house on the market and thought it might help to sell it if the seals look better!
In that case replace it with wedge gasket, that just pushes in, no need to remove the glass, just measure the gap after you've removed the old stuff and order from somewhere like DG supplyline
