On GENT addressable output units the interface has connections for the in and out of the loop and connections for C, NO and NC. when connecting up the NO or NC is the blue or brown used????? thanks.

It should not matter.
if your using the I/O for switching a live you may want to sleeve the blue as live

i was thinking in general practice what way round the colours went?????

Brown for Common and blue (sleeved brown) for either NO or NC.
