Hi there, my 10 year old Aqualisa Aquarian developed a leak from control panel, before spending £100 on a new cartridge I thought I would replace the o rings which I purchased for £8. I did this last night with no problem, however before pulling the spigot out I marked a line so I could reinsert correctly, predictably this got wiped off during the process!

Now when I turn the mains back in the shower starts and I can't turn it off, the on/off dial turns but water flow continues until I run down and turns mains off again.. I have now tried the spigot in 3 positions with same result each time, is it a case if keep trying to find the correct way? On the up side the leak is fixed..

Thank you..

Thanks for your advice, will take a look at those others I have seen the technical one but it had no mention of the spigot, just fitting a complete unit to the backplate? We bought the house new build and didn't get any paperwork at all! I have asked Aqualisa but not had any reply as yet.

My fear is I will need to buy a new cartridge as I cant keep the water off at mains much longer .

Cheers

JUst an update, I called Aqualisa support who assured me that you cannot remove the 'spigot' as they are sealed units and that they would supply me a new cartridge..

When I suggested I had removed and replaced the o rings he said its doubtful. Oh well will have to keep trying..

Update if it helps anyone in the future. Removed the spigot and found that there are 2 grooves that align to the cartridge, I had fitted mine upside down, reset, thoroughly greased the screw cap and spigot and all is now good. No drips, extra water flow and I'm back in the good books... Result.
