Aretex joint gone how to repair

What tool or roller to match this? I guess fine nylon scrim and then.....
All ceilings had paper taped joints and are lifting.

That was the old liquid artex in a tub - not seen it in years. Better off getting rid of the awful stuff and skimming.

Very hard to blend in that kind of artex pattern. Best re-skim the whole ceiling unless you want an unsightly join. It seems the paper tape has lifted in other places too, so best re-skim the lot, using scrim on the joints instead of paper.

The tool you want is known as a stipple brush, yet as said you will never achieve a uniform finish.
