Argos 'Belize' ceiling light

We have redecorated our lounge, replaced the wall lights and I am soon to replace the central ceiling light with a 'Belize' from Argos.

According to the instructions the Belize light unit is double insulated and not to be earthed. The existing incoming wiring is traditional live, neutral and earth. Is it in order to run the incoming earth into a terminal block and push it back up into the ceiling?!?

yep, just don't cut it off in case you need it again one day

I would if room in fitting allowed, keep the earth (CPC) cables within the enclosure of the fitting, rather than poke them up in the ceiling.
