there will usually be either a small staple shaped device which you raise to engage a hook shape on the hinge. you then attempt to close the door and the staple locks the door open with the result that the whole door hinge wants to come out of the housing. i hope that makes sense.
the second method is the use of a disc device which is fitted to the door next to each hinge. you rotate this so that the slot moves to one side. this again causes the hinge to lock allowing the removal of the door.
