Ariston Primo

A 4 year old Ariston Primo unvented glass-lined cylinder with electric impressed current anode system has just failed in a friend's house with disastrous results. This in a very soft-water area in Cornwall.

I am hearing that the anode system is no longer offered by Ariston as it was not successful. Similarly I hear the glass-lined version has been replaced by stainless steel linings for similar reasons.

Reports of any such experience would be appreciated

yeh the old aristons were sh1te. Changed a few leaky ones less than 10yrs old. never "disastrous", usually just a bit damp. Warranty will be invalid as you won't have a full service record. never known ariston to honour a warranty on one of these.
