My boiler is currently tripping out the overheat thermostat whilst there is a demand from the domestic water system. The gauge temperature reads around 95C. The system appears to be ok when controlling the central heating system on its own. Does this sound like the domestic water thermostat problem? What are the possible other causes?

Combination boilers are high powered (20kwatts and more) to heat a quantity of water. With boiler supplying hot water (at 9.5l in your case), when full output is used usefully, boiler should not get that hot.

Malfunction needs to be investigated. Stat might not be defective

My SX20Mffice keeps losing pressure, and hence heating circuit fails. The condensate pipe is dripping quite fast - so I suspect that is the problem - but what's the solution?

Also, I cant get any hot water out of the boiler at all! Is this boiler on its last legs?

Can anyone help with solutions to these two problems?

Many thanks.
