Had a set to with a artex'd bathroom today, nothing , but NOTHING, would get rid of it.......enter the angle grinder and steel brush .....no problemo

Hope you had a good dust mask on as some artex contains asbestos (pre 75 usually).

Agreed,I know you already done it,but next time take care as you should never sand off Artex surface, as it creates a lot of dust, which can be dangerous.See this for info.

I recently had to take down a cieling which had that old fashioned low grade papery chipboardey stuff.
I recall my dad calling it beaverboard.
I suppose its classed as high hazard nowadays.
My sister and I constructed 'dens' out of it as kids.
Wheeeeze........
