Just bought this house. Boiler is an older Burnham. Three zones for heat, and hw off the coil.
In this scenario, the boiler is off, hasn't run for days, so it's cold.
Zone 1 calls for heat. Circulatory runs, boiler does not.
Zone 2 and 3 perform normally (call for heat, circulator runs, boiler runs).
Shouldn't the boiler be running to generate my hot water even if no zones are calling? I would say bad aquastat, but zone 2 and 3 seem to lessen those odds. I ran the hw through one of the faucets for awhile, and the boiler did not fire.
Would appreciate any insight!
