I recently had a balcony which sits half over the hall/ half over the front step refelted as it was leaking. We had to take down the exterior soffit lights while this was being done and haven't replaced as when it rains it drips.

Is this a condensation issue as we have definitely sealed the balcony to within an inch of its life. Where it was leaking into the house is now dry but the part sitting outside the front door drips.

We haven't replaced any of the insulation that was damaged form the original leak yet as we wanted to wait until it dried out but now I'm thinking it won't dry out as it isn't insulated. The roof cavity sits over the hall and front door

You would not normally be getting condensation on an external soffit. Not impossible, but unusual.

You will need to check it for the pattern of wetness, but water after rain is normally the rain getting in
