I live in a terrace house built around 1910 and for a few months now the pipes have been making thudding noises. I thought this might be to do with our central heating as it seemed to happen when our heating went off at 10pm but we don't have our heating on any more and the thudding seems more frequent.
I noticed today that the thudding started after I heard my neighbour turn their taps on. Could it be a problem with them? It does happen when we turn on our taps or flush our loo.
