Hello
Last summer I built a pole barn out of 8 ex-BT (GPO) telegraph poles and re-cycled box section sheeting. Anyway, I now want to put a raised floor in one third of the barn. The size of the area in question is 17'6" by 15'6" The obvious way is to lay concrete or tarmac, but doing this would be difficult (access isn't that easy) and I don't fancy the environmnetal impact.
So I reckon the best way would be to install a wooden floor. So I need some advice about what size joists to use, should I use joist hangers etc etc.
FWIW the floor will support a small parts stores type area and a workshop. General domestic type weight, nothing serious.
Any advice & help appreciated.
Likewise if you are planning on building a pole barn....happy to help !
Cheers
