Just getting the bits to fit out our new bathroom. Wife's decided to get a mono block mixer for the bath that is for sinks. I think the difference between the two versions was the exit spout was bigger on the bath version. She liked the smaller spout.

Just wondering if there is a difference between the two? They are both fed from 15mm pipe.

A kitchen mixer is a misnomer, because generally they don't mix the water - they deliver two streams that don't merge until the end of the spout. This is to minimise the risk of pollution to the fresh water supply.

A bath filler, on the other hand, allows the water to blend in the body of the tap before emerging from the spout. The spout is also MUCH bigger, and I've never seen a bath tap with an inlet connection smaller than 3/4".

If you use a monobloc 'mixer' on a bath then it will longer to fill. If it has 15mm inlets then will take even longer. On top of that, if the supplies to it are gravity fed, it might do no more than dribble.
